Your credits from the CC should transfer over to whatever program you intend on enrolling which would take away some of the "required credits" for the 4 years program, therefore if all of your credits transfer over to a 4 year institution you could potentially only have 60 credits left to obtain a BS degree which means you would only have two years of school left. BUT that's IF the receiving institution takes all of your credits.

Hi everyone, my name is Anthony and i am currently a community college student. I wanted to know if I can transfer out of a community college right after I have completed my pre reqs for nursing school at cal state Long Beach. Now my main concern was if it is going to take more than 4 years to graduate from nursing school starting from a community college. My understanding is that in order to transfer out of a cc I would need to complete 60 credits. So does this mean it's going to take more than 5 years? 4 years of nursing school + 2 of cc = 6 which to me is a heck of alot of time. Alright that's all thanx in advance guys!
