Transferring into another ABSN program?

Does anyone know if transferring while in an ABSN program is possible? Overall I've done well at my current program, but our Med Surg 2 class is terrible (like 6 students failing either the course or out of the program). I have friends at other programs that are much happier with the quality of education and the ability to actually succeed, and wanted to know what the chances are that transferring is even allowed? If not I can just tough it out in my current ABSN program, but I wanted to explore all of my options.

That would depend on if the program you wish to transfer to accepts transfers. I have never heard of any program that does this so I doubt it is possible. First thing you would need to do is to contact the faculty at the other program and find out. I don't think they will like your reason however.

I have yet to see any school accept you from one program and then let you slide on some of their classes because you already took them in another ABSN or BSN program. It's pretty much that you have take all the classes within the program a.k.a starting over.

One thing I can confirm though, because I've seen it on school applications and have seen it mentioned on AN is, you will need to have your former school provide a letter as to what was your status when you left. The new school wants to know if you left because you were kicked out, bad grades, or if it were another reason. They'll also want to see your grades as well.
