What does your transcript look like from Excelsior?
Does your credits show up as COURSES or EXAM CREDITS?
I called my local unniversity and they said that they have seen transcrips say both, but transferring COURSES is obviously easier and more widely accepted.

THe only specified exam on my transcript was the CPNE and that was only because CPNE was not abbreviated, but spelled out. All others were listed as NURX ###, the exam date, the exam name, and the exam grade, and the number of credit hours......not necessarily in that order. Otherwise, there is no way to tell if it was an exam or a course.

they show up as exams, it's just a matter of whether your school knows that. they are all listed as NURX, the X meaning exam.
to see it officially you can go in the excelsior nursing catalog and look at the bsn degree plan on p31. look at NUR430.
what are you trying to do?
I contacted the University of Washington to find out if they accepted Excelsior credits by examination. I was informed that they accept courses but some of the credits do not transfer (and count towards my BSN) if they are listed as exams.

Excelsior is accepted everywhere. Fully accredited institution. I didn't have a problem having my degree transfer into my RN to MSN program. You would only have a problem is excelsior was a private school.
that may be what she was asking, but she said credits, not degree. that's why I asked what she was trying to do, but it still wasn't clear.
