Good morning all!  Happy Friday and I hope everyone is doing well.

I am in TPAPN and use Quest Diagnostics for my random screens.  I went yesterday and was told they will be going to STRICTLY appointments only, starting today or Monday at the very latest.

I am bummed out, because, even though they are a bit of a drive for me, I DO NOT have to pay additional for the collection.  Everywhere else charges an additional fee (on top of the $55 per screen).

Just to see what it was looking like, I made an account and looked at upcoming available appointments for drug screen times.  For all of next week, the only appointments are late in the afternoon.  That will not work for me, as I work second shift.

Guess I will have to start paying MORE money and go to a clinic or lab at a different site.  This really bites!

Sorry, just needed to rant.  I will be so happy to be done and get rid of all these "extra" fees!

Is there anyway you can work some kind of arrangement out with the staff there?  I go to the same LabCorp every time I get chosen, and they know my situation and work hours, and they will take me as soon as I check in, even if someone else is there because they know I’m a quick visit, in and out.

Just start reserving every day at 10am or whatever time you go. You can schedule up to two weeks online. So if you stay a week on top of that you will always get the appointment you want. Then if you’re not selected every day just cancel the appointment after you check in. I’ve done it and it’s made my life much simpler. Good luckYou can schedule up to two weeks online. Check out other labs in your area. There are a few labs around me that are not quest (think "accu screen", "drug testing solutions", etc) but they are quest partners so I don't have to pay an extra fee. I also saw an option on the portal to submit a lab to become a "preferred provider" or something-not sure what all that entails but might be worth a shot!

I faced that when Quest started online appointments and I made an appointment for about 2 weeks out everyday and would cancel it when I didn’t get picked.

I ended up calling their corporate office and asked about the whole "appointments only" and scheduling.  They told me they are not going to require it for people who are in "randomly chosen" programs.

So far, since that day, I have been able to just pop in on my selected dates and the longest I have had to wait was 20 minutes.

I am more than 1/2 way done now, so I am just counting the days! Haha

I'm going today for my first UDS with TPAPN and I was wondering if it is observed or not. ?

No, they are not. At least for me.
