I just found out I failed the NCLEX and am devistated! This is absolutely the worst feeling. I even took a Kaplan course, but obviously that didn't help....I'm feeling pretty low right now, does anybody have any studying suggestions for the next time?

hi. i took the nclex yesterday and i think i failed it. i also took the kaplan course. i had 190+ questions, what about you? how did you find out the result so soon? quick results?
I took it for South Carolina. I thought I did really well because I got alot of SATA at the end and i got alot of them and I also only had 75 questions. But clearly I failed it misserably and feel awful...
are you sure you failed? maybe you just need to check it again.. :thnkg:

Prayin2pass,
I write to with sincere empathy.I too, took the NCLEX - RN on 2/11/09 and found out 2/13/09, that I FAILED !!! When I saw this word on the screen, my body just went numb. Many tears were shed , and I asked myself multiple questions. I felt I had let everyone down who had faith in me. You have to overcome these feelings now, and pick yourself up. Think positively, and don't dwell on the past now.
The best recommendation I can give you is to considered Suzanne's plan. I have researched her plan, and have read many posts where people have been successful, utilizing her plan. You must, read and follow the instructions very carefully though. Suzanne makes it very clear do not incorporate other self - studies with hers. Suzanne says to take the week off, before starting Tip # 1 (the review), it is VERY IMPORTANT. You must give yourself time to deal with your emotions and to refresh your brain.
I wish you the best of luck, and do not be discouraged. Just think of this as a small hurdle to overcome; nursing school is behind you now which was the most rigorous challenge.
