Do a search on NCLEX and you'll see TONS of posting on these forums.

Good luck.

I just graduated in December and passed on January 18th:). I started by getting an awesome review book from a new nurse that I work with. It was an NCLEX-RN review book entitled the Saunders NCLEX RN review by Linda Silvestri. It has a CD ROM for the computer with practice tests in it. I reviewed about an hour or so every night until right before I took the test. I also had practice tests that we had access through our school, which is through a website of ATItesting.com. I would highly recommend a good review book and NCLEX style practice tests on the computer. It worked for me.......I got 75 questions and finished in 50 minutes and passed on the first try:rotfl:

GOOD LUCK! I'm sure you will do great!:mortarboard:

Hi, I tested today for the 3rd time, and what I think helped me even more this time around was this book called The Illustrated Study Guide for the NCLEX-RN Exam....it is a wonderful book and I would recommend it to anyone about to take the NCLEX...I am so sorry I left the book in the car, otherwise I would write the author and ISBN number.

I took Kaplan, and wish I wouldn't have. It is a complete waste of time and money. The only thing it teaches you is how to read the question properly to figure out what its asking, but if you just study from an NCLEX review book and study questions.....you will be fine!

I find out my results on Thursday! Yikes!

Good luck!

I concur with kimmymom, I used Saunders book and CD every free minute I had. Discipline yourself to do 100 per night starting now. I used the NCSBN website for two weeks, i hated it at the time however, the questions were exactly like my boards. I passed with minimum of questions.

Good Luck

What is the NCSBN website?

How do you study questions from that website?

My employer paid for the Kaplan review.

I thought it was wonderful course. It did teach how to break the question down as one poster said.....But we also had hundreds of practice questions, in class and on the internet. I did about 800 practice questions on the internet. I passed nclex on the first try. I can highly recommend Kaplan.

Goodluck.

I have thought about doing Kaplan, but I figured I would first try to study with the Saunder's book that I have first before spending $500 on the Kaplan review. I already have a Drexel review course with my school. I hope that is enough to get me to pass 1st time. Thanks for the feedback!:nuke:

The trouble I found with Saunders was that the questions seemed so easy. It was good to study during school though. Nclex questions are much more difficult than Saunders, IMO.

I have noticed that also! The Exit HESI was pretty difficult, I found that I was lost halfway through the exam. Where do you suggest getting the best NCLEX style questions?
