Timed out the nclex

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hello everyone. I guess I am just looking for some words of encouragement today. I took my nclex today. I felt great for the first 50, almost exclusively SATA. I was given a break after #50...big mistake. When I got back it was like a different exam, or rather I was a different person. I timed out (6hrs) at 226 questions and I'm doubtful the last question was correct. I'm not sure what I'm looking for on here...maybe just a shoulder 😓

That is a long exam. Hang in there, people pass and fail at any number (75 and up) in the exam. When time runs out you have to have the last 60 questions above the passing line, any below passing and you will fail. NCSBN.org is a great place to read up on some information about the NCLEX. Good luck.

I went through the same thing last week! I ran out of time somewhere between questions 230-240. I took the Hurst Review and they said to take your time even if you're nearing the 6 hour cut off. You do not need to finish all 265 questions to pass the test! The computer looks at the last 60 questions and determines if you're above the "passing line". It was very hard to watch the timer hit 0 and I walked out of there devastated and convinced that I didn't pass. Checked the board of nursing web site 24 hours later and found out that I PASSED! So for anyone who may be going through this, it is definitely possible to pass if you run out of time on the NCLEX!!

For all of those about to take the test: TAKE YOUR TIME!!!

I passed guys! 6 hours and 226 questions and somehow I held it together! I swore I failed. Have been on a job hunt and forgot to mention that.

Congrats :)

Not knowing what to expect. I ran out of time myself. I felt like it was just getting harder and harder. I even minimized the timer and the amount of questions so I could just focus on the questions. I don't know. I need lots of prayers.
