  1. I went through the same thing last week! I ran out of time somewhere between questions 230-240. I took the Hurst Review and they said to take your time even if you're nearing the 6 hour cut off. You do not need to finish all 265 questions to pass the test! The computer looks at the last 60 questions and determines if you're above the "passing line". It was very hard to watch the timer hit 0 and I walked out of there devastated and convinced that I didn't pass. Checked the board of nursing web site 24 hours later and found out that I PASSED! So for anyone who may be going through this, it is definitely possible to pass if you run out of time on the NCLEX!! For all of those about to take the test: TAKE YOUR TIME!!!
