Dianah glad the cat is doing well post surgery

Tweety hope you get better sleep

Stars glad the dentures got done and you didn't have to go in debt for them

Work was not too bad yesterday, despite getting a new case and working on the side project and having a meeting that ran a bit long.  Was busy but things never got too crazy

Did have to drive over to my dad's last night, after he didn't answer his phone either yesterday or today.  Found his car wasn't there and figured he was at his girlfriend's.  He called shortly afterwards and confirmed he had been there and forgotten his cell phone. A relief but with the drive ended up getting to bed late

Unfortunately the appetite stimulant didn't really work yesterday, and the one she got Tuesday only worked for a few hours.  Barely ate anything, so I'm going to call the vet, yet again.  Cats can't got for more than a day/day and half without eating or they develop fatty liver disease.  We'll see what the vet says, maybe she needs the next dose early or a different medication

Day should be pretty normal.  Glad I kept my day off on Friday, I need a break

Will get up to the low 70s again, rain likely in the afternoon, thankfully the storms should mostly be south of us

Nannie was so impossible last night I had to call my BiL to come over and convince her to go to bed. I spent about 20 minutes being very nice and trying to get her to wake up enough to let me walk her to the bathroom and then bed. When she wouldn't wake up and I ended up getting louder, and then when I said, "You have to wake up!" and she said "WHY?!" and I told her, she actually said I was "full of BS", only she said the full word. Anyway, BiL came over and very nicely and gently convinced her she needed to go into the bathroom and let me get her pj's on her. It was so ridiculous that I had to call her son come over at 10:30 PM because she was being such a brat. This better not be a regular thing! But from now on she won't get her meds with her supper. I will hold them a while and then when she is still awake enough, she's going to take them and  before they have a chance to kick in, she's going to bed, PERIOD! I was soooo disgusted with her last night, and there was no way she was going to stay in the recliner to sleep all night!

Well, now I've got to go wake her up to get up and get dressed. The CG she had before on Thursday afternoons will be here in an hour or hour and a half.

I am so discombobulated today. We got home after class and an early Olive Garden dinner, and I was so sleepy, I laid down for a nap at 5 pm. I got up at 10, took my pills and went back to sleep until 3. Got up, watched part of a movie for an hour, then back to bed, and woke up at 7. I guess I was really tired.

The sun is out, temp is up to 50, and I got some gardening done. Pulled some weeds, spread a little fertilizer, scolded the dogs for digging up the fertilizer. Apparently, feather meal smells like something tasty. (insert vomiting emoji).

I've been working on creating some sign-up lists for the master gardeners. And I listened to a very interesting podcast about Persia and the creation of Iran. I'm only up to WW I.

Aww, poor kitty, Joe. I hope the vet has some ideas.

Naughty Nannie. I suppose if her son has to come over frequently, then that may spur a quicker MD intervention? Good plan to retime her meds.

Good evening.

Hope the cat is okay Joe.

Hope Nannie behaves.

Work was okay.  They pulled a nurse and a nurse called out.  I'm really tired again tonight but slept good last night.

I held off Nannie's PM pills until 8:30 PM. Then I put her to bed at 9PM.

BUT FIRST: She had filled INSIDE her pants from waist to shoes, then after I got MOST of that cleaned up, I had her stand so I could make sure I got all the cracks and crevices cleaned. Then she had to poop again, so she sat down again on the commode. After she filled the toilet, I stood her up so I could clean her again and she went an enormous amount AGAIN, and got it on MY shoes and my right wrist and hand. But I got her seated before any got on the floor. FINALLY I got all 3 BM's cleaned up, after using 3/4's of a roll of toilet paper and half of a packet of wet wipes. I have washed my hands multiple times, because once the fingers of the glove on my right hand got torn and I got her BM under two of my fingernails.

Oh, but I'm not complaining, mind you. I'm just telling it like it was.

YECH!

Wow, No Stars, what a GI event!  I hope SWWNBN sleeps through the night.  I assume the water leakage issue has been fixed?  I know all the towels in the house are clean and dry.

nursej22, you must have needed the sleep.

Tweety, I hope you sleep well tonight, and I'm glad you feel better.

Joe, I hope your day went well, and the cat responds to new regimen.

Ciri is doing amazingly well, she is getting around well and even eats most of her BID canned food feedings, in which dh puts her abx, famotidine, and gabapentin.  I am relieved that, so far, I don't have to medicate her.  I hate being The Bad Guy, and cats are so difficult to medicate.

Did I mention that our tax return (yay, we get ahead a little!) was just the same as the vet bill?  So, -- yah, we are not ahead a little.  Well, glad we had it and I'm glad she is doing so well.  We don't regret spending it on her, not at all.

I did a lot of hand-sewing last night and woke up to a painful right arm -- carpal tunnel acting up!  It is better this evening.  I finished the sewing project.  I hand-sewed a section to prepare it for finishing with machine sewing.  It turned out well.  It's a new dress I bought for use in dressing dapper, but it needed altering.  I am always thankful to have a sewing machine handy!

That's about it for now.  Have a good evening!
