I would tell them, so they know that you prepared for the test, and were very close in passing it. Let them know how hard you are working.

I think if i were in your shoes I would not readily admit that I took the test and failed it. Granted, some interviewers may see that honesty and work you put into the test and think better of you, but my intuition would lead me to think that the majority would just feel sorry for you, as in close but no cigar. I would go into the interview and simply tell them that you are preparing to take the CCRN and let them know how you've been studying. None of that is dishonest, but it only brings attention to the positive aspects of your efforts. I thought about this alot because my CCRN test was the day before my interview, I had to decide what I might say in case I didnt pass.

I agree with this point of view. I would also say that I am preparing to take the exam, not that I took it and failed. A lot of people would be understanding, but then others wouldn't hear past the part "I failed" but was very close. Just my 2 cents.

I took a CCRN a few days ago. I could not make it, my score was a few points below of passing scores which made me so mad. :angryfire I have a scheduled interview in a few days. which is better idea? showing them my score and tell it was so close and I tried. or pretending I did not take it at all. know the CCRN is big credential in admission process.

Is the CCRN a big credential at which you are interviewing? I know it was not at the school I am in and haven't heard it was at other programs. I'm not sure I would go out of my way to mention it unless they asked. I don't think the CCRN is a direct reflection of your ability to make it through CRNA school.
