The wait.

So, I went in for an interview at nice facility only 10 minutes from my house. The interview went well, I filled out paperwork to get background tested and did a drug test while I was there. My interview started at 10 and I didn't leave until noon! So, they told me it would take 7-10 days to hear back from them. On day 5, they called my references. And I still haven't heard anything. I know someone who works there and she says all she knows is a decision hasn't been made because no one else has been hired on. I know I should wait until its been 10 days before I start freaking out, I'm just getting anxious! I really want this job. Anyone understand how the process works? Like is calling the references the final step?

I'm hoping you got the job! Keep us posted!

I don't think that most places pay for a drug test and background check until they are pretty sure they know who they want

Calling references is definitely a good sign! They wouldn't bother calling them if they weren't interested. Wishing you the best of luck!
