Did my instructor lie to me? I keep reading posts of people waiting for weeks when my instructor told me we get our results online in 24 hours. What's the deal?

If you took NCLEX for a state that does not participate in the quick results option, you might be waiting weeks (even months) for your results. Many of our California test-takers had to endure a long wait for their results.

In Indiana, I was able to look online at the Indiana Professional Licensing Association's website to find out if I passed or not. It didn't TELL me I had passed or failed, but the next day I had a license number. A pretty fair indicator that I had passed. In a different area on the site it gave my info plus the date of issue for my license. I never received anything in the mail to signal my status other than a license a couple of weeks later. Good enough for me! I simply can not FATHOM waiting weeks to months to find out. Has anyone ever heard an explaination as to why it takes so long?
