Thanks, allnurses

I interviewed last week for a highly competitive or internship at a level 2 trauma hospital. They received hundreds of applications and narrowed the final interviews down to 46. (for 4 internship!)

I'm not sure how I did but I do know that I was very well informed about OR nursing because of this forum.

In fact, interviewer asked me what I thought the main thing OR nurses do in their job. Because of this forum, I knew that the OR nurse's main role is to be the pt advocate--last person to check before surgery starts to make sure everything's right. I know there's much more to the job than that but I think it showed that I did my research!

I won't know for a while the results-she still had many left to interview. But I wanted to let everyone know how much I appreciate the input all you OR nurses post here.:yeah::yeah::yeah:
