Thank you, Midwives!

I'd like to thank all of the midwives, midwifery students, doulas, and OB/L&D nurses out there for your support and advocacy of pregnancy and birth as a normal human process, and not a medical problem. Most of my friends and family had medically managed, high-tech pregnancies and deliveries with all the bells and whistles- 3D sonos, continuous monitoring, and their subsequent c-sections for their "failure" to progress. I feel very fortunate to have had two wonderful, uncomplicated CNM hospital deliveries and recommend midwifery care every chance I get. Thank you for giving women the opportunity to labor and deliver in their own way.

I am a prenursing student with hopes of being a CNM. When I have doubts it is women like you who give me the hope to carry on with my dream.
