Does anyone else find it *weird* that the office staff communicates VIA texts about students. They will radio eachother, and say Read my text...OR did you get my text.
I get how saying a name over the radio probably isnt the best, but it seems really shady to send texts where it concerns students. Am I over reacting here?

Hmmm.... I guess it depends on what the communication is. I occasionally use texting. I am careful with names or confidential info. However, when gym is outside, the gym teacher may text that a student is coming to see me. I was out of my office several weeks ago so I texted the principal to let him know that I was on my way back and that I would administer insulin (the student comes down automatically at snack time and I didn't want him to think I wasn't coming). I would never text anything that could cause trouble like "Watch out - Johnny hasn't had his meds today!" That's completely wrong! I always consider what would happen if I lost my phone and someone got a hold of it.
