Texas Tech Accelerated BSN Program Spring 2017

Hello everyone! I currently submitted my application for my bachelor's in Nursing at Texas Tech in El Paso. I have a 4.0 GPA in my sciences, I got a 75 on my HESI, and I have no experience on medical field other than me having my CNA and my clinicals. It's really hard to get a job as CNA or volunteer hours in El Paso, in my opinion. I decided to post on here since there's not a post for Texas Tech BSN Spring 2017. Hopefully we can all let each other know when we get contacted for interviews and if we get accepted into the program and become friends:) Goodluck everyone!

Awesome! That is completely doable. I am not too worried about it because I trust my work ethic to get me through!

You were a lot of help, thank you so much. I am going to try and figure out exactly when they would start in January so that way I know exactly what to do.

Thanks again!

No problem! I don't know your background, but I have been in the medical field over 10 years and found the CNA course pretty easy. Good luck!

Someone in the other thread posted she got a sheet with information at her interview about dates in January for orientation. My interview isn't until Wednesday, so I'm not sure.

!!!! Interview? They have already sent out interview dates for Spring 2017??

Thats what I am saying! Has anyone else heard anything? :arghh:

Maybe this is for other campuses and it might take longer for the El Paso campus.

You guys are doing the Tech 2nd BSN accelerated program, right?

Im not sure if anyone applied to El Paso in the other thread. I'll have to ask. For the Tech 2nd BSN Accel Program, as far as I know, interviews were last week and this week in Round Rock and Lubbock. Maybe EP does its own thing? Is your program slated to begin in January?

I havent heard anything about an interview either..

I applied for the accelerated BSN, not a 2nd degree though... On the website it says "[h=1]Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing"[/h]

I didn't realize they had another accelerated program?

I'm sorry for concerning everyone! I think I applied to a different one!

The one I applied to is for people who already have a Bachelors degree, and want to get a BSN. It's a 12 month program. But I don't see EP on our site list, so yours must be something different! Again, sorry!! I really didn't realize there was another accelerated program!

Im glad we were able to figure it out, Im relieved!

Thanks so much for keeping us company :)

Good luck in your program!

Is the accelerated program specific to EP or is it in other locations? This is for a 1st time bachelors degree? How long is it?

Ours is for people who already have a bachelors degree and decide to get a BSN. It's 12 months and starts in January. And the locations are in Lubbock, Amarillo, Abilene, Odessa, Dallas and Austin. (I looked them up to see if EP was on the list. :). )

Im not sure, I wasnt aware that there were so many options.

At the EP location they offer the ABSN and RN-BSN.

The ABSN is for first time bachelors (as far as I know) and it lasts for 16 months, or 4 consecutive semesters.

Thats awesome, are you just starting the program?
