I NEED HELP!SO I JUST PURCHASED MY TEAS STUDY GUIDE AND SCIENCE IS NOT MY BEST TOPIC !!! I NEED AN 80% OR HIGHER TO GET ACCEPTANCE INTO THE NURSING PROGRAM, I TOOK THE PRACTICE ASSESSMENT AND GOT 62% IN THAT WAS ONLY WITH 100 QUESTIONS !! I DON'T WANT TO TAKE YEARS TRYING TO GET INTO THE NURSING PROGRAM... I WILL BE TAKING THE EXAM IN FEBRUARY!! I DON'T WANT TO FAIL THE TEST... ANY ADVICE WOULD BE APPRECIATED !!!!
PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't quit!!!! I took the teas a couple weeks ago and I have to go back and retake it this saturday....i failed the science but now I have McGraw Hill nursing entrance exams book and it is very helpful! I study from it daily and i feel like im understanding it better than before when i was just using the ati 3/4 study guide. The McGraw Hill book breaks down science concepts very simply. The test is not all that bad overall but the science part is a pain! I say just study study study and do your best, take your time b/c you have plenty for the science section. Hopefully saturday will be my last attempt...I wont give up, but I also dont want to pay to take the test anymore. Wish me luck!!!

What was your score? So, do question really come out of the study guide?

science 80%

Reading 92.5%

English 85.5%

Math 85%

The questions weren't directly out of the study guide but if you just study the basics you can better understand what the question is asking. Personally, all the version 4 study guide is good for (to me) is the hydrolic cycle, rock formation, and tectonic plates. The McGraw Hill book taught me everything else about basic science. The other sections aren't that bad, just study the subjects you feel like you're week in. You will do fine!

I agree with NC1990 above about the Earth Science part.

I took mine about a month ago, but did not study for it. It really wasn't bad if you've taken a majority of your prereq classes (AP 1&2, Stats, Micro).

My best advice to you is study up on ratios, metric conversions, add/subtract/multiplication/division of fractions, and know how to use the Table of Elements to determine the charge and makeup of ionic bonds.

My biggest weak spots were Life Science, and Sentence structure (40% & 57%). The Sentence structure gave your 4 choices on how the sentence should properly be written and I'm not an English major.

Science 80%

Reading 95%

English 85%

Math 80%

You need to dedicate a few hours every day to studying. Take note of your weaknesses, and focus on those areas until you are more comfortable. There WILL be things (especially in science) on the test not covered in the study guide. Research earth science, cloud formations etc. Getting a cumulative 80% should not be difficult if you study! Good luck!!

Good LUCK! but the more hours you put in the more you will be ready for it. Don't stress or get worried because that will put you back instead of pushing u forward. Think positively and hopefully everything will be great!:)

I cant find any material for TEAS 4 to study with on the science part any help would be appreciated.
