TEAS 6

Hello! As of yesterday, Aug 31 2016, the new TEAS6 version is what you will be tested on. If you visit atitesting.com, you can obtain the paperback book, and have access to two online practice tests.

I took the new teas test today... Here is what I found.... Buy the book directly from ATI. I also purchased additional help books, I did not even open them.... You CAN use a calculator on the test!! Woohoo!!! It is a built in calculator you click on IN the test. Know A&P well, know cell function well and what ALL cells have/missing. The practice test A was most like the actual teas. practice test B messed with my head so bad I thought I would do poorly on the teas. I walked away with an 80.7 and I'm good with that. Study study study the science section. Know atoms, electrons, proton, neutrons, quarks?? (What the heck is a quark?!?!?) know which is the lightest, etc. I really hope this helps anyone getting ready for the new test! Also, if you are familiar with the teas5, the teas6 book is WAY BETTER, WAY SMALLER, more straight to the point. PS) there are some errors in the new book so email ATI and ask for the corrections page. They will get it to you fast :)

Is the science a little easier than version 5? The earth science took me for a loop when I took 5. I take thr TEAS January 17th. Also should I just buy the package only?

I took the b assessment before I crack down and study my bad parts but I scored way higher on this than I did the 5 so I'm happy

Two questions for you Shelley!

The first is how was your percentage on the pre test A compared to your actual test score?

and the second is how hard the test was compared to pre test A and the ati study manual questions?

Thank you for posting about your experience, I take my test on the 10th and am extremely nervous because there are no reviews compared to test 5.

I bought the package and was very pleased with it- it says book plus two assessments. The assessments are only available online, so after reading the book you login and take the assessments. You can take the assessments more that one time.

Pretest A: I got the exact same score as the actual test. Pretest B, I got 74. I hope this helps, and good luck to you :)

I'm scheduled to take the new teas on the 6th. Shelley, how was the reading and math portion compaired to the teas v? Reading was my strongest area and I ran out of time on the teas v and scored poorly. Anyone curious about purchasing the online package, do it. It's totally worth every penny. And use it to practice your time most importantly!

How much different was the reading and math than the previous test? Reading was my strongest area but I didn't do as well because I ran out of time. Anyone considering purchasing the pre tests...do it, worth every penny and use it to help you time yourself.

Thanks for telling letting us know you experiences, am going to be taking the TEAS 6 beginning October. This is my second time taking it, didn't make it on the first one.

I appreciate if you guys can tell us post-test. I would want to see what topics to look at or the difference with TEAS 5 as far as topics.

I bought the ATI teas 6 manual because they did have new topics added plus that we be able to use calculator.

The questions are not that much different from the TEAS 5, I thought the reading was harder some of the vocabulary I was confused about. The calculator helps a lots with math, similar questions. The science had a lot more A & P I studied the science section a lot and used outside materials as well. I thought I was going to do much better on the science this time around. Know the different parts of the cell and functions. The english was about the same as well. Just more questions in each section. Overall I scored an 80.3% Ill take it! Math was my strongest area, I got a 93.8% the calculator helps a lot but still practice how to do all the different types of problems!

Hello Shelley! Thanks for the post, as its very helpful. I will be taking mine soon and did purchase the ATI book and practice exams. Like you mentioned Exam B through me off as well... and worried me. Can you elaborate more of what type of questions were asked? For instance, you also mentioned its similar to exam A, so would that be a good determinate on what to expect? Did you come across any surprises that weren't covered in the practice exams and and ATI book? Any more input regarding the exam will greatly help! I'm soo nervous...
