TEAS

I've been reading a lot on the TEAS exam. Is that the same thing as the HESI exam? I'm confused.

The TEAS is similar to the HESI, yes. They are both nursing entrance exams. I am having to study for both because I am applying to more than one program, and from the pretests I have taken the HESI seems more detailed.

ooooh i see. So some programs require both or one of the other?

Some schools require the HESI while others require the TEAS. If I am applying to 3 schools where one requires HESI and the other 2 require the TEAS I would have to take both. Not because they are both required for all 3 schools but because the 3 schools require different entrance exams. I haven't seen a school yet who required the HESI and the TEAS.

ooooh i see! Thank you for the clarification =)

They are indeed different nursing entrance exams. I've personally taken both. It's been my experience and the same experience of my peers, that the HESI entrance exam is a bit easier than the TEAS V, but both require studying and preparation. Good luck on your exam!
