TEAS

Any recommendations on what you study for the TEAS? In Ct they are now requiring the TEAS instead of the NET for the state LPN school.

Do a search on TEAS and you will find numerous threads on what you can expect. I took it recently and used the ATI study guide and the Kaplan Nursing Entrance Exams study guide and both did a good job preparing me for the test. Overall I would say it's not a very difficult exam, but some of the material I haven't reviewed since I was a freshman in highschool! Geez, that's like 12 years ago, lol!

I just took the TEAS last week. Studied from the book that ATI has, felt it did prepare me alright. I agree with the above post, wasn't a very difficult test. I heard from numerous sources that a majority of the science was on earth science...but there was only a few earth science questions on mine. Looks like they do a decent job at randomizing the test.

Thanks. Do you find out your score immediately if it is done on a computer?

The test I took was paper and pencil. Took it on a Saturday and was told the results would be up on ATI's website by the following Wednesday. But I checked early Monday afternoon and my results were posted.

I have taken the Teas recently and didn't pass.I was so discouraged. It is not difficult but you do have to brush up on your math, science, english, and reading. I am currently studying out of the Kaplan entrance school exam book and it is awesome!I take the exam next Fri again so wish me luck!

For the Reading portion, brush up on passage comprehension, inferences and conclusions. For the Math, whole numbers, ratio and proportion, fractions and decimals, percents, metric conversions and algebraic applications.Science, scientific reasoning, physical science, chemical science and human anatomy.English-Spelling,Grammar,Punctuation,Contextual words and Vocab
