Hi all! So I retook the TEAS a couple weeks ago and scored 8% higher then the first time! I went from a 71.3 to a 79.3. I improved math from a 63 to an 80 which I was by the far the most happy about. I need to retake it one more time and hope for about an 83-85 to be competitive for Florida nursing schools. So for people worried about retaking, it gets better the next time because you understand how they ask questions etc. Good luck everyone!

Congrats on your increase in score! That's great! :) if you don't mind please telling me what you thought certain areas of difficulties in the Math, English and reading sections were from the actual test? I have been studying the science section like crazy but I'm getting nervous that I should've spent more time on the other subjects..I still have some time till my test, but it would be great to hear some insight

That's awesome! Now for just a small dose of reality. Each school sets their own entry standards. Some, like mine, only accept the first score that's at or above passing. If more than a certain amount of time has passed, they'll accept the first passing score that is within the window of time they're looking at. Some programs may look at the highest score within a certain number of attempts, and they can limit the number of attempts allowed with a certain time period.
Just do your homework and make sure that you meet entry requirements of all the schools you intend to apply to. Also, remember that if at first you're not admitted, find out if there's something you can do to improve your situation, do it, and try again.
