TEAS Question

Well I am scheduled to take the TEAS test on April 12. I have finally gotten caught up on class work to sit down and study. I have the guide & 2 practice tests from ATI & so far I think I'm good on math & reading. For anyone that used this book how did you do on the practice tests versus the real thing?

The two ATI practice tests are the same both times. I took the first practice before I started studying and did it as fast as I could. I did the 100 questions in about an hour. I got like 78%. Then I studied and took the practice again and got in the upper 80s. Again, I was working as fast as I could. I kept reading that people had trouble with time on the real test so I wanted to be quick. I think I was careless. I did better on the real test. I am not sure that it was easier, though it might have been. I didn't rush as much though and by then had studied for a few weeks.

Good luck!

I haven't taken the online tests yet, I've just been working on the practice tests in the book. So far it looks like the Science portion is what's going to give me the biggest problem. I stil have 2 practice tests to take in the book, I think. I just hope to do really well. I want my butt to be in one of the 50 available seats for the fall.

I take the real thing tomorrow morning and am surprisingly calm due to the fact that I studied cover to cover the ATI guide. I didn't buy the online practice tests because I was told it was just more of what was in the ATI guide and that I was just wasting my money. I also bought a supplemental study guide that I thought was helpful in providing clarification in the math and science areas. Its called Kaplan's Nursing School Entrance Exams 2nd Ed. I would recommend it to anyone needing additional help in english, science, or math.
