TEAS Exam Prep

Hey everyone, nice to be here. Anyway, I am scheduling a TEAS exam in approximately 45 days from now.. What material is recommended to study with while on a budget? I was thinking of ordering the 50$ manual from the ATI website as well as this 7$ or so guide on Amazon. Also, is this sufficient time?

So I'm taking the TEAS tomorrow. I started studying exactly 2 months ago and studied a lot, although I wish I had more time or would have studied more in the two months (I've been busy with some work stuff so it prevented me from studying as much as I would have liked). In my opinion, I think the official TEAS study guide by itself it almost useless. I purchased the most expensive package from ATI, which including the online learning modules, practice questions, official study guide, and Practice Test A and B. I learned so much from the online modules and practice questions, then used notes from my prerequisite courses, the internet, and the official study guide book to reinforce what I learned on the online modules.

Before you begin the online learning modules, you take a self assessment. Here were my scores:

SmartPrep Pre-Study Scores

English - 91.7% (22/24)

Math - 93.8% (30/32)

Reading - 89.4% (42/47)

Science - 57.4% (27/47)

Total - 121/150 = 80.7%

As a testament to how well I improved, here were my results from Practice Test A I just took:

TEAS Practice Test A

English - 20/24 = 83.3% (-8.4%)

Math - 31/32 = 96.9% (+3.1%)

Reading - 43/47 = 91.5% (+2.1%)

Science - 42/47 = 89.4% (+32%)

Total - 136/150 = 90.7%

My English score has fluctuated up and down between the practice questions and practice assessments in the learning modules. Practice Test A was actually the lowest English score I've received thus far. I'm studying all today, taking Practice Test B this evening, studying a bit more, then taking the TEAS tomorrow.

In summary, for the $200 or whatever the complete package costs, I think it's well worth the investment, as my overall score improved at least 10%.

I took the TEAS test today, and passed with ~87%. I studied for 2 weeks using Mometrix TEAS book (about $35 on amazon), TEAS PREP app ($15 on Appstore), and practice A exam from ATI website (~$50).

There are 3 practice tests on the Mometrix book, and I took one before prepping for the test and got 70%. After studying for a week, my scores did rise to ~83%. I've also completed every single question on the TEAS app (there's about 1400 questions). The test wasn't too bad, but I do think that if I had more than 2 weeks to study, I could've scored higher on my Science section. I highly recommend the App, but recently it's been really buggy and wouldn't load questions quickly......

I really like the TEAS Exam Questions app. The full app is $7 and has tons of questions and flash cards. It provides explanations for both correct and incorrect answers (so if you guessed on something and got it right, you can know WHY it's right). Well worth the purchase, and no glitches for me thus far.
