Teas errors on study guides

Published

Hi I am taking the TEAS test. I noticed in the anatomy of the heart section within the study guide there are two questions with wrong answers. Both are how the blood flows through the heart, the book skips the valves as the next step to where the blood will go next.

I am worried that on the test there will be questions of this nature with both answers as pick the next step blood will go through the___ when the book notes one option is correct yet it is not true. The study guide has these questions as true or false. Has anyone run into this type of problem with the study guide? Please let me know. Thank you

Yes. There are several errors in the ATI. If you contact ATI (email) they will send you a TEAS V correction by pdf to show you the errors in the book and the correct answers.

On the ATI website, they have a download that corrects the errors in the study guide.

Where you bought the ATI book? It is expensive and I don't have money right now . I bought another one "cracking the nursing school entrance exam" by the princenton review, but I don't know if it is good because I only see people using the ATI. Please let me know thank you.

I bought my book awhile back when Borders stores was going out of business. Kept it until I was ready to take the test (have not taken it yet but will soon this July). Try to find one on the Marketplace by Amazon and Barnes and Noble. There's a website called Bookfinder4U put in the title of book and it will search all the bookstores and give you a listing of the prices of the book at current price, people, and bookstores selling it for. I have the "Cracking the Nursing".....by Princeton and I really like it. Goes into more detail than ATI. I think from what I have read, is that ATI is the book to get and get other books to help supplement and support it. Good luck whichever book you use and hope someone lend give you their ATI book because I know how expensive and hard it is getting these books.

Some TEAS books do have wrong answers. This first thing to do when you get a TEAS book is go the the website of the publishers and check it they posted a corrections update. Most of them are free pdf downloads of the corrections. I used the McGraw Hill 5 TEAS practice and that too had its share of errors.
