I recently had my TB test. The first time I had it, it was negative. This time, it was read by an individual who seemed very uncertain about what she was doing. She began by measuring the induration, and then a nursing student marked on my arm the edges of the erythema and the redness was measured not the induration. Should I have my test redone, or should I just go ahead and get the chest x-ray, I don't have insurance right now. I think I may be scratching the tb site while I'm asleep.

You need to discuss this with the physician who ordered this test or you can contact your local health department for advice. Most health departments offer low cost screening and follow up testing.

I would have asked right them for someone else to read it.
