I looked into attending Tarleton's program but decided against it due to the multiple requirements and my desire for a completely online program.
Congratulations on your acceptance!
Well, I just completed my first semester RN-BSN with Tarleton State University. It was a wonderful experience. At times, they are a little unorganized, but the faculty actually cares about you and your progress. I like the fact it is a hybrid program (one week in class and next week online, and so on). They offered 3 classes in Spring, 3 classes in Summer, & finally 3 classes in the Fall & we will be done.
I would highly recommend this program!!
Update! I took summer school and it was fast & furious (3 classes).
I am in my last semester of the RN-BSN hybrid program with Tarleton. This semester is a HEAVY writing semester. I can't believe I'm almost done! What an incredible school and fabulous faculty!! I have been so lucky to be a part of this program. :)
Class of 2015 here I come and let the job hunting begin!!
Well, today is the day. I am graduating from Tarleton State University with my BSN. The RN-BSN program was so wonderful & only took 11 months. I am so thankful & grateful to the Tarleton faculty & staff. I met some amazing ladies that there is no doubt I will remain friends with after today.
Congratulations, 1msrbs. Thank you for updating us!

Hi 1mrsbs,
Did you work while doing the Rn-BSN program? Also did you consider Texas Tech also? These are the two that I looking in to.

Yes, I did work. My job was 5 days a week in the first semester, I'm off in the summer, & worked as a substitute nurse in my final semester. I had enough time to take off on the weeks I was in class (every other week).
I was already registered and had my schedule with ULL (University of Louisiana Lafayette), but one of the the Tarleton students came to my office & completed some of her clinical hours. We talked about Tarleton the whole time she was there. I convinced my husband I should go there & he agreed. It was the best decision I ever made!!!
I looked into Texas Tech and decided it was not for me. Plus I wanted to be done in one calendar year & Texas Tech did not offer that.
