Hey there, had a simple question I think I know the answer to but wanted closure on. If you wanted to apply to a nursing school in fall but are still taking science classes the spring semester before, can you still apply?
If yes, how would they factor in your science GPA if you have uncompleted course work at the time of applying? Many thanks!

This depends on your school. Some schools with allow you to finish your prereqs and you would just have to send them an updated transcript once you are done with the semester.

I agree with what she said. It does depend on the school. When I applied, my school went by a point system so the more science prerequsites you took, the more points you earned. If you're still taking 3 or more science classes, I would recommend that you wait until you complete the class, but if you only have 1 or 2 science classes, then I'd say just go and apply. Good luck.

It usually states on the schools website about their prerequisite policy. Many will take 1 or 2 outstanding perquisites in progress, it really depends on the school.

My school required either General Chemistry, 1 semester, or two semesters of Intro to Chemistry before you could apply to the nursing school. You had to be fully done. So I did the two semesters, fall and spring, and wasn't able to apply until the next February. Other schools in the area aren't as strict, but this one is close, and way cheaper, so I did it their way.
