Taking my NCLEX soon...what to expect?

Published

Hello everyone! So I'm taking my exam this Monday and I was just wondering what to expect when I first walk into my assigned room...like is it a sign in type of thing where I have to sign my name in? How will I be assigned to my computer? etc. Just asking to calm my nerves so that I have a general idea and can envision myself walking in the room hoping it will help a little lol

Thanks!

I went in yesterday. You walk in, the lady at the desk asks your name, license, has you do a palm scan, takes your picture, gives you a rule sheet to read over and someone will call you from the back and take you to a computer. It's not so bad

The staff at the testing facility I went to was so friendly.

-Upon walking in you must show your ID and have your palms scanned into the system.

-You will receive a locker where you can place your bag (if you brought one) and any personal items.

- your phone will be placed in a plastic bag and sealed by staff members. It can only be taken out of the bag once your test is completed.

- immediately before the exam your palm will again be read.

- your clothes are checked to assure there are no loose pocket just wear leggings and a tshirt- anything simple and comfy!

- they sit you at a computer where they give you a marker and white board to write on.

- there is a headset if you may need to listen to an audio clip.

- read the instructions, take your exam!

best of luck xoxo
