how to take the ati test

Published

hi, am a nursing students and would love ideas and suggestions of how to take the ati test. thank you all

The comprehensive ATI is killer. Depending on which test topic you're taking, I'd do a practice test and start studying based off of that. Use it as a starting point and cover the topics you have most trouble with then hit everything else.

Use Ati to your advantage. Practice tests and creating focused reviews are helpful.

I took the practice tests online, and printed out my results. I then used the "Topics to Review" as a checklist for the chapters I needed to read and study harder in the ATI book. I also used the ATI app on my phone -- very convenient for practicing questions on the bus. I did very well on the Fundamentals ATI with this method.

Going forward, I plan to study the information in the ATI book at the same time I'm studying it in my classroom textbook. That way, it'll be spread out, and it'll deepen my understanding of what we're going over in class.

I did very well on ATI and only had to take the comprehensive a second time(and only b/c we had to be at 99% and I was 98%). I studied all of the practice exams offered for each exam and went over material throughout ATI. The videos are also helpful.

Review the nurse logic tutorial. It's very helpful with test taking skills as well as the different models ATI is based off of. Patient safety is always number one, followed by ABC's and the Maslows.
