SW Boces application and test date 2011

Hey guys!

So I sent in my application for the lpn program for SW Boces, and was wondering how long it takes to get a letter back giving me my test date? I sent it out Wednesday, also I was a little worried about my references they were both from teachers, and they printed out their own reccomendations and didn't use the form. Would that matter?

Thanks any advice would be helpful. I'm really excited

Hi,

I just submitted mine today for the day program...my reference letters were typed as well, I don't think that will be an issue. Which program are you applying for the day or evening program?

Hi mizz

Yea I'm applying for the day program, even tho it didnt ask on the application. I guess first we gotta pass the test and choose. How about you?

Hey MrPink,

I want to do the day program. My entrance exam test date is May 26. Hopefully we make it in. I'm so nervous but, I've been studying using the cnet study guide and it's very helpful.

Oh damn you got a date already? I didn't get mine yet, do they call u or send it thru mail. n yes I'm super excited n nervous! Lol I been studying too. I was always good in math the ratio part is only downfall. I don't remember the basics lol. I asked to take the test on may26 or the 19th, hopefully ill seenu there! Good luck!

Hi,

I went to SW BOCES in ELMSFORD on April 4th to hand in my application. I paid the $125 fee for the entrance exam and bought the study book for $60. They were very nice and answered any questions I had. I took the exam on April 14th. My main concern was the math part. If you study decimals, fractions, percents, ratios, and the basic addition, subtraction, multiplication , and division then you should not be surprised when you see the test. My concern was the time alloted for the math section. 60 minutes seems like a long time but when i looked up i had 30 seconds to do the last 7 math questions..lol I tried the best i could and just filled in the rest so i didn't leave any blanks. I'm thinking positive and I'm eagerly waiting for my test results. My dream was always to become a nurse and i want this so bad. Did anyone else take the test on April 14th and get there results yet?

I'm sure you did fine Damaris, just stay positive and hope for the best. It takes at least 2 weeks to get back the results. let us know you did :) how long was the entire test?

N I didnt know we could hand in the application, I feel like an idiot. I mailed it in lol. I probably would've received my test date the same day. Smh oh well, ill just wait.

N btw where are you guys from? Will you be commuting far? I'm from queens. Bye * sending positive vibes yr way* lol
