Hey there,
I've seen a lot of questions on here about Suzanne's plan, but I haven't seen this one.
I'm supposed to graduate in December with my ADN. I've heard that it can take a month to get my ATT, which would be mid-Jan. If I get my ATT on say the 16th (after she's made the mailing -- I realize the date is approximate), then I wouldn't be able to start until the Feb 1st mailing, which means I couldn't test until mid-March if I wanted to follow her plan.
Is this a correct understanding of the way her plan works for new grads? Is waiting 3 months from graduation to take the NCLEX too long?
(Forgive me if these questions are a bit panicky ... I'm just getting excited about graduation and want to get all my ducks in a row!)
Thanks for any help!!

Getting ATT from pearsonvue will depend on how quick your school sends your transcripts to the BON. Can vary from days of registering with pearsonvue to weeks. It is hard to predict what will happen with ATT as a lot depends on school, BON and pearsonvue but if wanting to do her plan then I would say it is worth it
Ok, thanks. The month wait for the ATT was based on feedback from past graduates from my school and the school staff.
Just to confirm: I MUST wait until I have a firm scheduled date, even as a new grad waiting on the ATT?

Yes, when you send the information to Suzanne she does request a test date
I was afraid of that. Thanks for the replies!

Her plan is great...keep it in mind. I wish I would have used it the 1st time around!
I believe it's great ... I'm just worried about waiting 3 mos after I graduate to take the test. Is that too long?
That is true...I missed that in your previous posts. I wish I would have tested sooner after graduation. I would test close to graduation....Of course take a week off after graduation for celebration and relaxation though. But everyone is different...some people need extra time to prepare...my advice is you know your knowledge base and comfort level best so you're the only one who can know when you're ready.

Hello Silver
I am so wondering since there is no requirement on transcripts in the application form of Minnesoda. That means the school does not need to send out the transcript. I am afraid that the school will not send out the transcript in terms of the education verification form. Thanks!

I believe Minnesota vary when it comes to Canadian nurses. Once they have received the documents they will make a decision and will authorise Pearsonvue to release your ATT. However if then planing on endorsing to another state you may still have to meet their requirements for a foreign trained nurse
Thanks. But in terms of discussion above, I am confused. My understanding is after I send out my application to Minnesota BON. They will make their decisions on my case. If I am approved for the test, they will make Personvue release my ATT. ATT has a range of 11 weeks. That means I have to schedule my test during this period??? For example, if I send out my application at the beginning of the Nov, BON got approved at the beginning of the Dec, i.e. Dec 8, 2008 and Personvue release my ATT on Dec 8, 2008. Plus 11 weeks then my ATT should be from Dec 8,2008 to Jan 25, 2008??? But my plan is to take test in Mar,2008. How to extend my ATT to Mar, 2008 or I have to take test in ATT??? Could I schedule my ATT by myself? So many questions... thank you
