surgical errors

Hi, I'm looking for a resource for a paper due this week on actual surgical errors. I'm looking for articles that describes exactly what happened, a.i. removal of wrong body part, surgery on wrong part, etc... Have searched the net, and only finding links to malpractice layers. Is there anyone that would help me locate some info? Thanks and only less than 2 months to go.:smokin:

Go to peer-reviewed nursing journals online. New England Journal of Medicine allows a free trial subscription online (maybe just for students, don't remember, but I did use that in school and didn't have to pay). Search with Google carefully, including "article" "nursing care", "nursing journal" that sort of thing. I haven't done it in a while :clown: but that's how I found the information I needed.

Since you're looking for current events really, as opposed to nursing care / evidence-based practice articles, it might be a little trickier, but the information is out there! Good luck to you :)

**Just for kicks, I looked around and found this: http://www.npsf.org/html/CA/CA_Jun1_01

Maybe it's helpful?

The best advice I can offer is to use a specialty search engine like google scholar, http://scholar.google.com/

Amazon is a good place to find a print reference. If you can't find or get the book in time, you might be able to get it as an ebook or use it as a way to find more available information, look at the references used for the book.

Here is one I found:
