Support Thread WCCCD Western 2009 students

I thought we could start a thread to help each other out with questions or emergency lab partners. Just things that we might want to discuss about this new adventure we are starting. I already picked up two books to start my reading I know they wanted the last class to have some reading done before the first class. Hope to hear from some people. Have a great holiday and get some rest, we will need it for the first semester.

Best of luck to you! I am going into my second year at WCCCD so feel free to let me know if you need any advice or have any questions!

I started reading but I haven't heard if we are suppose to or what we should be reading. What pod did you get? I'm in pod 11.

what's a pod?

They had the classes set up in pods. You had to pick one and that was the classes (days and times) you got. They called them pods.

gotcha. They didn't call them pods when I started. Who are your foundations and assessment teachers? Where are your clinicals?

Nur 110- TBA

NUR 111- Diedo

Nur 112 (lecture)- TBA

Nur 112 (lab)- Annapolis w/ Peltz

Nur 118- TBA

Maddie Diedo and Caroline Peltz are both amazing teachers and will teach you so many things you will carry with you forever! Let me know if you have any questions!

I am starting in January. I got #3.

I just finished first semester and had Maddie and Carolyn. They are amazing instrutors!! I had Carolyn for clinical and can't say enough good things about her. I am crazy and taking Pharm this coming semester since she is teaching it.

Jellybean last semester Maddie Diedo taught the 110, 111 and 118 for that pod.

Sorry I been so Busy, I signed up for pod #12 with C.P for 111 and clinical at Annapolis. So we probably have the same person for 110 and 112. I just started reading the first chapters of all the books even the optional books. So if anyone has the same person for 110 (pods 9-12) since it is still TBA but we all have the same lecture we can go over points in the first chapter maybe after the new Year. Let me know.

You might want to get a copy of the reading assignments for 110 and 111. I can tell you they don't go in order of the chapters. I can't find my copies of the syllabus, otherwise I would post it here. Maybe someone else has a copy handy. Good luck in your first 7.5 weeks...It is rough, but very exciting! :yeah:

Does anyone have a copy of the reading assignments for the first 7.5 weeks? If so, can you post it on here? Thanks in advance!
