I would greatly appreciate any data to verify that RN's can only supervise and evaluate other RN's, any input will be helpful in resolving a long standing problem in our facility. Thanks!

An RN can supervise anyone, not restricted to only supervising RNs. They can do an evaluation on anyone..............
Not sure what you are looking for.

We havea situation where a long standing (20) year vascular tech has been evaluating RN's, and supervising them, I have to verify this is incorrect before I resolve it with the powers that be. PLEASE advise.
It depends on the facility. Is this person in a management postion? If so, then it is perfectly okay. Anyone can be placed in the role of supervisor or manager or director, they do not need letters after their names.........
The hospital or department head can select whomever they feel is appropriate for the position. Whether or not that person is an RN is not stipulated by any Board.
Even with the OR, AORN requires that an RN be the circulator in each room, but there is no ruling the the Director of the OR must be an RN. Many managers are more business oriented now, and this is what hospitals want.
