Tweety glad work was OK

Stars I hope they get that quote straightened out

Dianah sounds like a nice day

Ado glad you got the phone repaired

Yesterday was a pretty ordinary Saturday. Went bird watching in the morning, had lunch with dad, ran some errands, did laundry, exercised and worked on my shopping list for this week

Today will not be at church, instead will make a lentil soup for the week and later meet my friend N at a local historical site and park. There's a historic mill there that neither of us have been to in years. Rest of the day should be quiet, just exercise

Going to be cooler today, in the mid 70s

Overcast day here and only 62. Dh and I are leaving shortly to deliver some equipment for another gardener, and then take the dogs to a local park for a long walk.

Stars, that insurance is quite a mess. I deal with a local insurance broker who represents several insurance companies. I just call her on the phone and they make the changes for me, whether its add a car, change coverage, report an accident. Maybe it's different in Florida. My state, Washington, has an insurance commissioner who strongly advocates for citizens.

But speaking of insurance, I opened a letter from dh's Medicap company last night and I was fuming mad. I have tried repeatedly to get it set up to autopay, and for whatever reason, the payments don't go through. I have called them, but I have to do it when dh is around, because of confidentiality. In reality, he has almost nothing to do with it. Anyway, when a payment doesn't go through, they notify via snail mail. They say they cannot notify via email. So yesterday I get a letter dated August 10, saying if I don't pay by August 30, his insurance cancels on July 31. WTH! I looked online and the balance is $0.00. But why should a notice take a month to arrive? I sent a nasty gram to them and will speak to the insurance broker, but no wonder so many people dislike insurance companies.

Whew, that felt good to blow off.

Hello all!

Dh's car battery was dead, so we used a little device to start it, and then ran up to Cabazon -- probably 30 min on the freeway, halfway to Palm Springs. We parked at Hadley's and had a sammich and shared a date shake, and then browsed through their little shop for some goodies. Then we headed back home. Car started right up, and I will venture to say it is charged up now, from that drive. He just had not used it since before beginning of August, I think, so it had sat and battery drained in a month or so. He will need to take it out for a spin more regularly.

I am watching a fluff series on Prime, The Hardacres. I did two loads of laundry, which now need to be folded. I need to exercise, too, sometime.

nursej22, hope you and the dogs had a good walk.

Joe, how was the historical site and mill?

Have a good evening!

I'll definitely be going to an independent insurance agent tomorrow. Hope I can get switched to something reasonable ASAP. And I also plan on writing a very *SUCCINCT* letter to the insurance carrier I have had forever. They should be ashamed, but of course they won't be.

I also have an appt w/ my new PCP at 1:45 PM. Hope and pray I don't have any car accidents when I am out or I am scheist outta luck. My "new"insurance 'card' (a paper copy of one) they sent me said it was good until 9-3-26.... but I have never received a BILL! Only the pages I was supposed to sign and return, and THAT letter said the bill is supposed to arrive separately. How can I pay something I haven't rec'd yet? ARRRGGGGHHH!!! ☹️

Good evening.

Those insurance issues seem so unnecessary. I hate insurance companies with the trillions in assets yet treat customers like trash.

Work really sucked today as a nurse called off. Didn't matter because they were planning on pulling a nurse anyway. So I had a full assignment but there were several issues that needed me as a charge nurse too. Hated it.
