Joe, I hope your visit is going well and the weather is cooperating. Safe travels home.
No Stars, hope you slept well and Nannie is tolerable today. Same for Ado and her Gma.
nursej22, hope you are doing OK.
We were up early yesterday, to drive to Riverside and help with the 11:30 church program. We met our friend C there, and he and dh played banjos, I played guitar, and fiddler played for our version of Battle Hymn of the Republic, a special request by the speaker in honor of the veterans. The rest of the service was just amazingly exciting and inspiring. Their praise team is outstanding! EVERYONE got into the congregational singing! It was so encouraging to be there and experience the energy! Here is their YouTube of the service:
The service went till 1:30 or so, and we stayed and spoke with one of the hospital chaplains (I think that is his church), and then left with fiddler and her dh, and met at our favorite Thai restaurant for a late lunch. It was sure needed, at that point! We had a nice natter and also chatted with the restaurant owner and his wife.
After eating, we showed up (late, but it was OK) to the practice with the Big Group, in preparation for a hymn sing at a retirement community on 6/8. It was good to play with them again, and we stayed after to chat and help put things away.
We got home around 8. Did household chores, and by then I was hungry so I fixed a little something to eat, and I relaxed. Slept pretty well last night. Today we will relax and decide what to do tomorrow!
Cats are all pretty healthy, and little dog-breath is doing well. He is a happy little boy.
I will swing by later and check the thread out. Have a good day!
