Tweet glad that you're recovering

Stars that would be annoying to be woken so many times

Was a busy day yesterday.  Went out bird watching and saw a rare sight, sandhill cranes.  Have not seen them before in this area.  Also took time stop at the grocery store and pharmacy, and take the cat to the vet for her repeat bloodwork

Then went to pick up dad and drive to see my niece's school musical.  Was one of their better productions, I felt.  Some of BIL's family was there too.  She had  speaking part this time, but only 1 line.  Drove home with dad, we had dinner out, then finally came home

Today will not be going to church.  Will do some bird watching instead, then the cooking and laundry.  Will exercise later in the day

Will be warmer today, up to 60

I did nothing yesterday except walk Tinker 4 or 5 times. Everything else was "tabled" due to my extreme ennui. Today is probably the last day of my freedom from Nannie. Too bad, so sad.

We spent the afternoon at a nursery close to Seattle, that was having clinics about growing roses. However, I found it almost too basic and the presenters were not great. So we did a little shopping, bought a cookie at the coffee stand. We drove through the tulips fields on the way home. Tulips are not blooming yet, but the daffodils. are.

We went down to the demo garden to prune roses. We got the majority of them done. Now dh is after me to work on stuff for the ED team. and I really would like a day off from that. And I am encouraging him to take a day off from it too. And he is trying to do stuff on the computer, and he's not great with it. Neither am I, but he asks me for help.

My MiL called this morning to ask me which of her medications she should take. Sigh. She is so afraid that she is going to become addicted to something. She's 85 years old. with COPD and arthritis. I don't see her as an addict. Do I think she should take tramadol? Yes. Should she take gabapentin, because it makes her feel weird? If you don't like it, don't take it. Should she take trazodone? She hasn't sleep in 4 days. Yes, take it. So is it okay if she takes tramadol in the morning and trazodone in the evening? Has she had this convo with her doctor? Yes. Then take the meds. Then she says something about being a dope fiend. Ay, yi, yi.

The weather has been cool, but it is supposed to warm up to 50 tomorrow.

Ended up doing some of my laundry.....and later found a huge puddle in the room where the washer and dryer are (Nannie's room). I put down a bunch of towels to soak it up. Then after a short while, I saw some water on the floor in her bathroom that is behind the wall where the washer and dryer are. More towels down.

Then Tinker brought her toy monkey up onto the sofa and it was WET.  I suddenly noticed the whole corner of the den had a LOT of water on the floor there. Surprise, it is and has been raining! Apparently the previous leak that was stopped ... has reopened?  I have 14 large towels soaking all that up. I haven't moved either of the recliner chairs, though there is water under one of them, but at least not under the electric recliner. I will have to dry the towels that were taking care of the laundry room and pull up the wet towels from the den leak, and put more dry towels down. And I suppose I will have to launder the towels used to soak up the den leak, otherwise they won't be usable for people after a shower by just being dried.  I have just turned on the dehumidifier also. This back and forth towel-thing will probably be what I am doing for the rest of the evening. Color me: ??

What a lovely 'last day off.' *SIGH* ?

Sorry, Stars. Yuck.

It is extremely windy today. The high was around 60 but the temp will drop to mid 20s tonight. Then, by Friday the high will be in the 90s.

I did a Walmart pickup order. And used some stew meat I had in the freezer to make a beef and vegetable soup.

Sil sent me a text at 9:30 PM that said, "Will pick you up at noon," So I answered back, "Will be ready and waiting."

Sounds like it's gonna be a day.  ?  Hope I can keep my cool.
