I like to take the teas this month before my semester start. They told me that my teas score only be considered if everybody have the same GPA. I think this mean that if my PGA is 4.0 and my teas score reach the minimum score, I should have no problem get into the nursing program. Am I right?
At Daytona State College, they require 75% total and 65% in math and reading. Although English is my second language, I think I might be able to do it. I am really tired of studying science and just want to take the test and get it over with. Am I crazy? It only cost 40 dollars to take the test. I really like to do it before my AP2, college algebraand speech classes start at the end of this month. Help!

Does not hurt to review the workbook once before the test, it is on reserve at the library. I took A&P @ DSC as well, all good profs so you can't go wrong with any of them. Good luck!
Thanks, I am going to DSC study the Teas book tomorrow. May I ask who is your A&P teacher? I had Dr. lovell for AP1 and I love him. But this fallI will have Dr. Doolin and I heard that he ia great. I am worried about different teaching style. Also, when are yoy applying to the nursing program? I am planning to appy on May 2011 because I need to finish my Algelba first. I did take a Math (Quant Methods I) at Embry-Riddle , but it did count for anything. How about you?

i would most definitely review the study packet before you take the test. i had to take the teas last september and i was so busy with my classes that i really had no time to study. i blew it off because from what i heard the teas was generally very easy. i ended up failing the reading portion of the test by 2 points. i was shocked because i took honors/ap reading/english in highschool and figured i was pass with flying colors! i had to pay another 60.00 and reschedule the test. i wish i just studied for the test the first time! :)
I am only completing my prereqs @ DSC. I am applying for accelerated BSN programs which unfortunately this school does not have. Looking to start summer or fall of 2011. I am pretty much done with prereqs except for a few that a couple of schools require (taking Ethics online this fall). I took all my live classes at the DeLand campus so likely not the same profs as you have in Daytona. I dont think we are supposed to name names on the board, so I will send my prof info by email to you.
Oh one other thing, if the library does not have the TEAS book on reserve, it might be at the academic support center. I cannot recall where the book actually is, but it's one or the other and they do have a copy or two I know.
I got your e-mail. Thank you. I went to DSC and studied for five hours. The book is from 2002. I am not sure how much it helped. I also got some books(NET) from our library. They should also help, right?
Demi68, if you reply to my email with your email, I can send you something else that can help you with the TEAS exam as well.

It doesn't hurt to study. I din't study very much and did good but I could have done that much better if I had. I would take the time to put towards it especially since you are in between semesters... I took mine teh same week I had a big exam in one of my classes so it got put on the back burner a bit but I couldn't post-pone taking it so...
