Just curious about how many students other school nurses see in a day.....I see, on average, around 85 (about 35 of those are med visits).

Hey GreenWitch !
I do elementary school and have 750 + students. On an average day I see about 40 clinic visitors and about 25 meds. But during the active flu season, I will see 65-75 each day. Strangely enough, it's really not all about numbers, because I have on occasion seen 15 kids...and it was the day from hell :angryfire ! And on other days, I can see 72 kids and all will go smoothly ! Go Figure !! :rotfl: Either way...no two days are alike and I like that. No hum, drum in this profession !
Have a great day, and enjoy the ride !
You see almost as many as me. The elementary school nurses in my county see about 30 kids per day (including meds!).
You are right about it not being just about the numbers....ALOT of it has to do with timing!!
Thanks for taking the time to reply, and yes....I will enjoy the ride

I am a middle school nurse in SC. There are 990 students in my school. I average 60 a day up to 75. This includes meds. Thanks to extended release ADHD drugs, my caseload is lighter!
Ok, you see quite a few too...Ok,well I guess I shouldn't feel worked to death then LOL~
