Students in CA wait list

hi, i'm trying to get a poll from students who applied for rn programs in ca and what # you are in "wait list" or if you were able to get in right away?

i applied at sac 08/2008 i was #877 out of 1,112

now 02/2010, i'm #542 out of 1,235 students.

i applied at goldenwest and was denied i was 2 points away from entering the program. i recieved a call from goldenwest and i was 2 points away from being accepted. i cried when she told me, i cried of saddness:cry: and how much work and time i put into each science class for a good grade. i applied at cypress college 08/2008, and was placed on the wait list til 2010. cypress college does not give #s. i just knew i was on the wait list per the letter i recieved. lbcc at the time were not sure if they would take my science classes because i took them at ccc. so, they were unsure but i still applied.

now, 02/2010 i decided to do the lvn program and i start monday! i'm super excitied sometimes we have to pay to get the "license"....after i recieved my lvn license hopefully i can get into rn program 3rd semester! i'm a good student. my gpa is 3.00.

good luck to all the future:nurse::nurse: rn nurses!:lol2:

It's funny that just because your school has a wait list you think they are all like that.

my school? No, please re-read my post. I have applied to many schools in the central valley. Maybe where you live there is no lottery, and good for you. I gave myself a 120 mile range as to how far i was willing to drive. And in that distance, the absolute vast majority of colleges are lottery based.

Hmmmm? I'm not sure why you are quoting me? I didn't say anything about your school. I was speaking in the third person.

It didnt come across like that. It appeared as though you were making it out as if I was generalizing all the schools in the area because one (or in this case quite a few) that were lottery based programs. This is the interweb and its hard to get a read if someone is speaking in third person or being sarcastic.

Geez you guys, let's simmer down. I thought this thread was about the dreadful wait-list and it has gone off in a hostile direction. It is probably because we're all under a lot of stress. So let's just...breathe... Anyway, I just found out I was put as alternate #26 at Chico State and I'm pretty upset. Does anyone know the stats regarding acceptance off the wait list in past semesters???
