I'm a senior in high-school and I'm working on a project which involves researching my chosen career path which you might have guessed, is nursing. One of the requirements is to interview someone who is currently in the field. If you are in the nursing field and have time to answer the following questions, it would be greatly appreciated. This isn't just for school but it's also for personal insight and would be very helpful to me. Thanx!

Hope this helps:
1) I am a Nurse Entrepreneur. I have my RN, BSN and BS of Psychology with a focus on Gerontology. I own a Home Health Agency, Supplemental Staffing Agency, CNA Approved Program via the Department of Education and a Mass Immunization site.
2)I became a Nurse years ago when my mother told me I was too stupid to go to a real college. It was the path she had chosen for me.
3)Diploma Nursing, and my BSN, I am now working on my Masters of Nursing Administration, (MUCH NEEDED FOR MY ENDEVOURS)
4) My main obstacle in diploma nursing school, were the trials and tribulations of being told I was too social and I should quit....I wasn't made of the "right" stuff needed to be a nurse. During my years attending my BSN, It was my married life with 4 children. Now it is the time to focus on my studies while developing business.
5) I had no expections, I never had visited a hospital, and had no idea what a nurse did.
6)The conversations with our patients, the smiles, the tears, the hugs during a patients passing. Developing uncharted grounds in nursing is outstanding and very challenging. I love to feel as if I have made a difference. I love to hear the great feedback that is given from my employees. I love my employees.....Too many answers for this short page!
7)The red tape with the Medicare departments, the walls of thinking inside the box. The money that isn't available to create new and exciting positions. The time it takes from development of a program to the unveiling and action of a new program.
8)In our area, the staffing crisis is a huge issue. The shorter HPPD's or number of nurses scheduled to work shifts. It is fewer in number than it has ever been and the patient's suffer......
9)To open a community clinic with all delivery systems involved and present. Health care at our communities fingertips. A Hopsice House.......Too many to mention. To retire with the knowledge that I made a difference.
your responses will be very useful to me in my project.
