Hey has anyone (any single parents) went to school fulltime worked part-time and took out student loans and grants to make ends meet while you were in the program. I am kinda wondering if it will work if I did that way I really really need to hurry and finish . thanks:uhoh3:

Go to http://www.fastweb.com. It will allow you to see all the scholarships you are elligible for and apply online. Trying to get your RN, there's a lot out there. The school you are attending should have a financial AID department which will help you with the paperwork. Also http://www.fasfa.ed.gov will allow you to fill out the national paperwork, if you have kids and are single you should get a break. Good luck!

I received a student loan from Sallie Mae.

Visit http://www.SallieMae.com for more info. They are fairly lenient in issuing student loans for the 'extra expenses'.

Yes I have been taking out student loans jhust to make end meets. I also am a single mother and cut back on my work hours. However I am not really worried about the loan payback cause in the state of Kentucky the state will pay back 20% of your loans for every year you work as a nurse in a Kentucky hospital. So after 5 yrs of working in Kentucky my loans will be paid back at 100%.

what kind of loans did you take out?
