First off I am not bitter or angry because I LOVE the opportunity that Excelsior gave me to get my RN from them. I have heard some negative comments from brick and mortar nurses regarding my distance choice and we even had a group in Florida lobbying the board to get us barred like Cali. I considered going for my RN to BSN at a local college in Texas where we'll be located and even though I will be a new grad of an RN program they still put the cap on all my pre-reqs. Even though I just passed boards? I mean if the info was forgotten I could NOT have passed the CPNE or NCLEX. WTH ?:uhoh21: I just feel its an unfair weeding out type thing. Anyhow I find myself "stuck" completing my BSN with Excelsior to avoid taking 8 classes OVER. Well they were there for me before and even offer a discount for getting my BSN with them so there. Just venting.

Man, that bites! I know some colleges use EC tests for students to test out of courses in ther BSN programs, so I would assume that not all colleges are against EC tests to demonstrate knowledge. Anyway, I hope that you will do well in whatever you choose for the BSN. When you get your nametag for work after you graduate, it will only have those sweet letters "RN, BSN" on there with no name of any college for anyone to criticize.
