Stressed out!..

Published

I'm taking the TEAS this Friday, and i think it just hit me all at once today that i have so little time left before i take it. I feel fairly good over all about my preparation..except when it comes to the Science section.. That thing is making me just want to cry (which i have off and on lol) It just seems like an impossible about of information to try and study and get refreshed on. Alot of the information for me is brand new. I got my ged, and then when straight into college at started my core classes. But the cc that im applying to only required A&PI , A&P2 & micro...so needles to say i know much about chemistry or physics.. And the thought of this is just stressing me out! I have the ATI study guide and have been working in it for about 2 months. I have taken the practice tests in there and i will get 3 right..2wrong..4 right 2 wrong im just kinds inconsistent. I just hope and pray that I can make a passing score on the science section thats all im shooting for there. Did any of the rest of you feel this stressed about the science before you took it?

I think we all did. Relax.... there are only a few about A&P.... others are chemistry and earth science, and general science. I was a little mad I studied so hard on A&P and there were only three the rest just stumped me. Something about sun and the earth..... Plate movement... what does any of that have to do with nursing. I guess it would if we lived one planet closer or were on the ring of fire. I got 70%. you will do fine. I only had 2 weeks to study. They told us who was invited to take it 2 weeks before. Not all students could even take it if they didnt have enough classes or high GPA. And we can only take it once a year. Good luck to you..

Thanks for the reassurance! It's good to know that im not the only that has struggled with grasping all this science..

Hey brittany the science is very basic so just know the Ati stuff well and you will do fine. I used the mcgraw hill study book and the basic chemistry they covered was good enough and the physics just required knowing the basic equations and plugging in numbers. I was out of chem and physics for 3 years before the test and scored well enough to get into a program starting this fall - so can you!

britt,

have you read my post about the teas and its content ...It very accurate and has helped alot of people .

Im not sure if i have or not, i have read so many..

ah yeah i had seen it, it wont hurt to look over those things again though.
