STCC 2010?

Hello Everyone: I am new to this site and was wondering if anyone on here has any advice on being accepted into the STCC Nursing Program. I will be applying to the program for the fall of 2010. I am taking the pre-reqs now, but have a question regarding the HESI. Does the exam cover chemistry and physics in addition to A&P, Bio, Math, and English? I have the exam book and have been studying but wanted to make sure I study the correct subjects. Any advice would be great! Thank you.

Yes I definitely understand where you are coming from.. about watching what I write here. I don't particularly mind in this situation, because she volunteered that information to the entire class-- and I know she didn't make it into STCC's program (for this year, anyway)..

I also missed out on the loop hole lol, but I'm glad because I learned so much!

Hey Bananimal, any last words of advice for that HESI? I'm taking it on Thursday! I am finished with my prereqs next week and then applying! I'm soooo nervous. How's the program treating you?

I did get the study guide but it's very much so an overview. I guess I'm just nervous about remembering everything I have learned in A&P 1 & 2. Do you think the study guide prepared you well for the A&P portion of the exam?

PS - Have you heard anything about AIC's nursing program? Good/bad? I am going to apply there too but can't find any info. on the quality of the program!

I ended up with an 89 on the HESI and I am so relieved. I just have this week of finals and then I'm submitting my application...I hope I get in!!!!!

Has anyone heard when they will send out admission letters for Fall 2010? I thought it was around the middle of March so I keep checking my mailbox hoping to get a letter. Does anyone know anything or have you received a letter?

Alphadog, last year I got my acceptance letter on April 5th.

Thanks Bananimal. How has the first year of the program gone for you? Are most people passing or have several dropped out? I am hoping to get in this time around

Its going really well for me, I absolutely love it. Several people have failed out though.. we started the fall semester with 105 and we started the spring semester with 83.
