Starting RPN Program in January

Hello!

I will be applying for the Centennial College RPN program in January 2013. I wanted to know since I am starting in January does that mean the second semester will be in the summer and finish the same time as the Fall 2012 students ? Or will it start the next Fall semester?

Have you already been accepted and you are starting in January or are you applying in January? If you are applying in January you will not be starting in January.

Yes if you start in January you will not be in class for the summer. If you check with the school they will tell you the exact dates.

If your in the fulltime program you will not have a summer semester unless your in the flex program!

I forgot to mention that If you stay on track you should be expected to finish in December 2014 but you could finish as early as August 2014 if you complete your consolidation for that summer providing they have space which is not always the case because not a lot of placements are available for the summer semester. I do know students sometimes delay their summer consolidations because of poor placements or lack of placements so best of luck!

Is it possible to take one of the semesters in the summer to get ahead?

Not usually. Most programs are a track program and you don't have the option of doing that. You will move along at the same pace as the rest of the class. If the program starts in January it will probably take a break during the summer.

Not for fulltime unless you fail a course and its offered in the summer semester for flex! Most fulltime programs don't offer courses for the summer. You may take some electives in the summer but you'll end up spending more money because your electing to take them early and not within its scheduled semester which has fixed tuition fees.
