Starting RN program @ Crouse in 8 weeks ;)

Published

Just wanted to intro myself to the forum, since I have a feeling I'll be spending a lot of time here in the months to come.

I'm a 36 yr old mom to 4 (aged 7-19) who decided a year ago she should become a nurse. I did a few semesters at OCC to get my pre-req's done, and threw in BIO171 for fun. I aced the TEAS, and had a 4.0 for the OCC classes, which really helped boost my confidence. I got accepted to Crouse Hospital College of Nursing, to start this fall. I'm super excited (and a tad nervous)! I am really, really looking forward to the process of learning everything, even though I'm told it's going to be a rough ride.

I looked up my state forum, but no one seems to be posting from my school, so I thought I'd just post here. Hope that's ok!

Look forward to getting advice, reading other's experiences, etc here. It seems like a really awesome forum!

I would avoid putting the name of the schools in case it could be linked to you down the line. The last thing you want to do is to get linked to a school and have them figure out that you are ranting about them or even worse an employer.

ok, thanks. I can't see how to edit post, but I'll keep that in mind for the future ;)

Hi! I just wanted to say Congrats and good luck! I'm about the same age and have 4 kids ages 7-15. I only have 2 quarters left in my program, it's been quite the experience! Feel free to ask any questions, this is a great place. I have been lurking for over a year, but actively started posting recently and have found a lot of useful advice on this site for my program.
