I'm finally starting my RN prereqs! Chemistry Thursday night at South Campus then A&P I and lab on Saturday at Central!!

I've taken a semester off because our son was born in August, and it's felt like forever since I've been moving in any direction! I'm just happy I've figured out what I want to do for now and I'm finally doing it. :)

MICROBIOLOGY:AN INTRODUCTION 10TH EDITION DESIGNED FOR BROWARD COLLEGE BY TORTORA, FUNKE & CASE.

I'm saving microbio for next semester to take with A&P II. I hate how they have special editions specifically for Broward - it makes it impossible to find better prices online.

Example: The A&P lecture and chem book were around $350 new from the bookstore. I found them online for $100 including priority shipping. The A&P I lab manual is $120, can't find it online, and I'm going to be paying more for that one book than for the other two combined. Dumb.

MaxAttack,

So, how are your classes going? I finished all of my pre & co reqs last semester and now I'm just waiting to see if I will get into the May program. Pretty confident I will.

Good luck in your classes! You'll be applying before you know it...

I have the lab manual for AP2 for south campus. It is used but maybe it could be of use to you. Congrats on starting your journey. I have just finished my pre-reqs and starting to apply to programs for the fall. We will see how that goes. Good luck! Check your teacher out on ratemyprofessor.com it helps!!

Classes are going great, minus the lab. The quizzes at beginning of class account for over half of our total grade, and they're only 10 questions so there's not a lot of room for error. I think the lab manual that we have is for A&P I and II, but if I could use it, I'll let you know - thanks for the offer! And of course any class I take is based off ratemyprofessor.com. My first semester in college I didn't know what it was and must've picked the worst possible professor for every class. Someone told me about it and I've been using it ever since.

What the status of your applications?

I know the quizzes each class are annoying but it really helps keep you on track. There is so much information to know and you really need to know everything inside out for the practical at the end of the semester. I am just relaxing now and not taking classses but I plan to apply to Miami-Dade in the fall.

Best of luck!!!!!
