Starting to FREAK OUT!

I take the NCLEX in six days and up until yesterday I have been calm, cool, and collected. I've taken several reviews and have all this material. I haven't really studied much in the past couple of weeks, but I had been testing/reviewing about every night prior to that for weeks. I was feeling burnt out on these review books. Has anyone else had trouble getting through them? Should I put off taking the test for another week? I was feeling so confident up until I actually scheduled my test the other day. Can anyone else relate???

Yes, I can relate. I'm taking the thing on Tuesday, the 18th. I've been using Saunders and Kaplan review books. I'm starting to feel both burnt out and stressed because the test is in just a few days.

Oh yes, i can relate. I was feeling the same way, especially a few days before taking the NCLEX. I was so stressed and nervous i was doing poorly on the questions. I was considering a reschedule but i had no choice because the hospital wouldn't hire me into their OR if i didn't have license by end of month. I also wanted to get it over and done with. You will never feel like you studied enough! I have NEVER met anyone who has said, "I am ready to take the NCLEX and i know i'm going to pass." You will always wonder if you studied enough and consider putting it off. There is only so much you can do. Its normal to feel this way. I'd say go with your gut instincts and do what you feel is best for you but don't put it off too long. I also suggest to hit it hard a week before your NCLEX, pretend like you're in school again and force yourself to do it.

IsseyM...Thanks for the input. I began talking through my anxiety this evening with my fiance and I am slightly calmer. I know I can't put this off anymore and I agree that I will never feel like I studied enough. I can only continue to tell myself everyday that I am only taking this once and passing! I also plan on studying my butt off for the next six days. It's good to hear encouraging words, so thanks again.:thankya:

quit freaking out, you'll be fine IF you can relax...i just took it myself and was amazed how much was priority and common sense. not much content based stuff. if you have done the review and know the 'rules' to answering these questions (ABC's, assessment over implement) you'll be fine.
