It's strange to not be posting in the student nurse or nclex section! Just found out today that I passed my lpn boards & I start my first job tomorrow at a ltc facility as a charge nurse. I've wanted to be a nurse my whole life & Ican't believe that I am & in less than 24 hrs I'll acutally be working!!!! Wish me luck!!

Congratulations on passing your boards and getting the position.
But, please, please make sure that you get a thorough orientation, and I mean more than three days or one week. In addition to learning all of their policies and procedures, make sure that you have a preceptor with you that you can ask questions of and are not on your own right away.
That is quite a lot of responsibility for a new grad..............

Suzanne is right. Don't hesitate to ask for more training. They can afford it, since, most nurses are doing the work of 2-3 nurses, for 1 salary.
