I've wanted to be a nurse my whole life & Ican't believe that I am & in less than 24 hrs I'll acutally be working!!!! Wish me luck!!

Specializes in Med-Surg, Trauma, Ortho, Neuro, Cardiac.

Wow. That's a big responsibility for a new grad. Best wishes! Congrats!!!!

Specializes in M/S/Tele, Home Health, Gen ICU.

Congrats, Good Luck and welcome :balloons:

Congratulations on passing your boards and getting the position.

But, please, please make sure that you get a thorough orientation, and I mean more than three days or one week. In addition to learning all of their policies and procedures, make sure that you have a preceptor with you that you can ask questions of and are not on your own right away.

That is quite a lot of responsibility for a new grad..............

Suzanne is right. Don't hesitate to ask for more training. They can afford it, since, most nurses are doing the work of 2-3 nurses, for 1 salary.
